NE PopFest 2006 Information for Bands
Band applications are not yet being accepted for NE PopFest 2007,
and the 2007 Information for Bands is not yet set.
The 2006 Information for Bands is presented here to give you an
idea of things, though they may change somewhat for 2007.
Here is what bands playing at NE PopFest 2006 will get:
- Money You may get a small amount of
money (see the Band FAQ for more info.)
- Beer As in the past, bands who play NE PopFest will
get unlimited free beer. Once again, Sam Adams is a sponsor by providing
bottles for the bands.
And band members can drink the free beer all days of the festival,
not just the day they are performing.
- You get to play The Abbey on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday
- Exposure to Potential Fans
- Press Coverage
- An Entry on the NE Pop web site This is expected to include a photograph,
a short, one paragraph description, and a link to your own web site (if you
provide me with all this).
- Contacts with Other Pop Bands This can be helpful for setting up
out of town gigs, finding places to crash, etc.
- Merch Table You can sell all sorts of band merchandise, including
CD's, T-shirts, etc.
Neither the festival nor the club takes a cut -- it's all yours.
You can also have people sign up for your mailing list,
give out schedules of your upcoming shows, etc.
- See Other Bands On the day you play, you have free admission
to the festival.
If you choose to attend the other days (highly recommended),
you get in for $5 (about half price) each day.
Musicians who are in two bands that play the festival will get in free
two days, even if both bands play the same day.
Musicians in three or more bands that play the festival will get in free all days.
